Usui Reiki Sessions
Usui Reiki is probably the most commonly known Reiki
modality. It is a Japanese healing modality that was
conceptualized by Mikao Usui. "Reiki" is a Japanese word for
the concept: "Universal Life Energy".
Thus, in Usui and any other Reiki modality healing energy is
allowed to flow into the practitioner who serves as a vessel
for such energy. The energy enters through the practitioners
crown chakra and is passed on through her/his hands.
We all know how calming and healing a touch can be and Usui
Reiki – just remember the last time a friend or relative
hugged you when you were not feeling well (or at any other
time).
In Reiki this energy is directly acting to help relieve pain
– physical and emotional pain. A Reiki treatment, thus,
helps to restore the balance and the harmony in a person and
can then lead to wellness. Usui Reiki is part of the
traditional, holistic field of medicine.
Usui Reiki is based on a system of hand placements on the
body to the client. Just as in any other Reiki modality, the
client remains fully dressed during the Usui Reiki
treatment. It is important to understand that a Reiki
practitioner does not heal. The healing takes place via the
Universal Life Energy and the client.
Each Usui Reiki session includes time for a pre- and a post
consultation.
